About Us
In 2004, Paul Sambrook and Jenny Hall established
the Trysor partnership. We wanted to develop our personal interests
and professional skills to help communities and businesses benefit
from heritage.
Between us, we have over 30 years experience
in archaeology, history and heritage. We are based in south west
Wales, one of us living in Pembrokeshire and the other in Neath
Port Talbot. This is the region we know best, but our skills can
be applied to any area in Wales, and beyond.
When asked to define what we do we style ourselves
as heritage specialists rather than archaeological or historical
consultants. Our services are affordable and are focussed on the
client and the product, rather than the raw material.
Trysor has a developing portfolio. We have carried
out work for the regional archaeological Trust, local authorities,
community groups and the tourism sector.
We try to build three key principles into any piece
of work we undertake: accessibility,
consultation and sustainability.
We use clues in the landscape and the archives
to piece together a story of the past, and then use this story for
the benefit of our clients.
